To report an error in content currently or imminently to appear on Main Page, use the appropriate section below. Reports should contain:
- Where is the error? An exact quotation using {{!xt}} of the text in question helps.
- Offer a correction if possible using {{xt}}.
- References are helpful, especially when reporting an obscure factual or grammatical error.
- Time zones. The Main Page runs on Coordinated Universal Time (UTC, currently 08:16 on 10 May 2026) and cannot be adjusted to your local time zone.
- Can you resolve the problem yourself? If the error lies primarily in the content of an article linked from the Main Page, fix the problem there before reporting it here. Text on the Main Page generally defers to the articles with bolded links. Upcoming content on the Main Page is usually only protected from editing beginning 24 hours before its scheduled appearance. Before that period, you can be bold and fix any issues yourself.
- Do not use {{edit fully-protected}} on this page, which will not get a faster response. It is unnecessary, because this page is not protected, and causes display problems. (See the bottom of this revision for an example.)
- No chit-chat. Lengthy discussions should be moved to a suitable location elsewhere, such as the talk page of the relevant article or project.
- Actual errors only. Failures of subjective criteria such as taste or interestingness, or failure to divert enough DYK readers to articles that aren't new or recently improved, are not errors.
- Respect other editors. Another user wrote the text you want changed, or reported an issue they see in something you wrote. Everyone's goal should be producing the best Main Page possible. The compressed time frame of the Main Page means sometimes action must be taken before there has been time for everyone to comment. Be civil to fellow users.
- Reports are removed when resolved. Once an error has been addressed or determined not to be an error, or the item has been rotated off the Main Page, the report will be removed from this page. Check the revision history for a record of any discussion or action taken; no archives are kept.

- ... that Indonesian military leader Moergito banned the production of machetes in East Java shortly after the government ordered twenty thousand of them?
I wanted to understand this so I clicked through. The article says that Moergito imposed a ban on the production of machetes in two villages in East Java ahead of the 1982 elections..
Two villages doesn't sound like much and this still doesn't explain the point of the ban. I clicked on the source to see if that explained it. The source seemed quite spammy and is not easy to understand as it's all in Indonesian. It doesn't seem to have any content explaining the matter and so I'm still quite dissatisfied. So, the hook comes across as misleading clickbait to get me to go to a suspicious site. This is not the sort of trustworthy content one expects from Wikipedia. Please pull it. - Tempo.co is Tempo (Indonesian magazine), which seemed fine to me. I assumed that "two villages" came from a part of the source that hadn't been quoted, but pinging @TarnishedPath, Jeromi Mikhael, Cwmhiraeth, and DragonflySixtyseven: for their takes.--Launchballer 07:44, 10 May 2026 (UTC)
